Robert A. Barrett, Jr.

Mr. Barrett is an associate at Faulkner, Hoffman & Phillips, LLC. Robert was admitted to the practice of law in 2021 and joined the firm immediately after passing the bar exam. During law school, Robert worked serving the legal needs of local municipalities and safety force unions. Now, Robert works with the other attorneys at the firm in representing clients for arbitrations; federal labor law disputes under the National Labor Relations Act, Section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act; state labor law disputes under R.C. Section 4117; workers’ compensation matters; federal and state employment discrimination matters; collective bargaining; and collections. Robert also joined the firms’ practice in representing Taft-Hartley benefit plans in litigation and compliance matters related to ERISA, HIPAA, the Taft-Hartley Act, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Internal Revenue Code. 

 

Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Akron with a minor in Legal Philosophy. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Akron where he was a recipient of the School’s Board of Trustees’ Scholarship, served on the executive board of the Akron Law Review, participated in the Moot Court Honor Society, and earned a spot on the Dean’s Honor List. Robert also earned a Certification in Constitutional Law while working as a Constitutional Law Fellow at one of four Constitutional Law Centers designated by Congress in the nation.  

 

Robert is licensed to practice in all Ohio state courts and has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
